Taking a stab at the sleeveface style shot. I just got a bunch of records from a friend and am looking forward to transferring the songs to digital format.

We created an account specifically for Gabriel’s pictures. He will be taking the shots without any assistance. Dad will upload the photos. Gabriel will provide responses to comments with Dad or Mom doing the typing on his behalf. Take a look http://flickr.com/gkidphotos

No surprise that Gabriel can manage the Nikon D50 without any real trouble. He’s adept at most thing tech. While on our walk today he asked for the camera to take pictures of leaves, bugs and his brother. Gotta say I love this shot a bunch.

This WAS my doll. It was going up at my desk at work but those plans are done.

Making his way up to hold onto the edge of the ottoman in the living room. In the past two weeks he has gone from crawling one or two strides to speeding from one end of the living room to the other. All bets are off at this point.
Time to look around the house and see what he can and can’t reach. We have all the usual gates and plugs in the electrical sockets but this kid is more prone to finding wires and pulling them out of the TV, Wii or DVR.

Catching a moment from this past Saturday where we had both boys awake by 6:30 AM. Granted the time change was just last week but even then Gabriel was a sure bet to sleep until 8:30 or so on the weekends. We did our best today to sneak a little more sleep in but they still got up early. I suppose another 8-10 years and they will appreciate the fine art of sleeping in on weekends

This is his president. The one he will remember. The one he will identify with. The one who we hope will show us to a better future.

This is Joshua pretty much all the time. He recently fought off a bit of a cold that had him a bit on the down side. Totally tweaked his sleeping and eating habits but he’s back as of late last week. Sleeping through the night again and waking up ready to drink down a bottle of formula. Best part is that he is his joyful self. As we quickly approach the 9 month mark he is crawling, lifting himself up to the furniture and can get around quite well but still prefers hanging out in Mom and Dad’s arms.

Gabriel is a HUGE Mario fan. No doubt. He’s down with other characters but nothing has captured his imagination like Mario. If it’s not the games it is the TV show, the DVDs, the toys, the stickers, the posters, the shirts, the backpacks and whatever else pops up.
Some might argue that a fixation might be a bad thing or hinder growth in some way but we do our best to meter the exposure. We even go to lengths to turn it all into a learning experience. From Mario we have led Gabriel to learn about colors, numbers as well as exposed him to reading. Yes you can learn from these things. You can learn from anything if you put your mind to it.
I’m sure when he looks back on these shots Mario might be a fond memory but we’ll be sure to remind him of how it was. The dedication to being a fan of Mario and Nintendo will be a good memory for our family.

We attended a costume party Saturday afternoon as well as a Halloween event on Sunday and the boys showed off their costumes which were hand-made by Grandma G.
