So, there’s always this crowd out near Madame Tussaud’s. People are taking pictures all over the place. We saw the Shrek and figured we’d wait in line and get a shot. I allow Gloria and the boys to get in the line and I wait. I had the 50mm in place and had an extra bag in my hand via Gloria so I did not swap out to the 18-55mm. I was pretty far back to get the shot as you might expect. I wasn’t worried about composition or anything aside from getting a shot the boys would like.

The area is pretty crowded and people tend to make their way into your photo periphery. So, when I saw the three of them step up near Shrek I was ready to snap a shot or two before anyone crept in. Only now do I see what I got.

Remember an earlier photo where I proclaimed that Josh-e was a non-conformist? This shot further brings home that point. Shrek was really digging it.

We all have these Mickey hats. We take them with us on each trip. Joshua was the one who refused to wear it. He’d choose to carry it along or when he did put it on he’d turn it sideways as seen above. No rhyme or reason aside from being true to himself.

Great moment as we were stopping to take a break. Just as we stopped we saw Buzz heading out. Gabriel stopped by to say “hi” and Buzz grabbed him and started walking to his photo-op spot. They made their way from the front end of TomorrowLand over past Star Tours. Buzz was gracious enough to stop and allow for a photo at the end of their journey.

Ask a kid who’s had a few thousand pictures taken in his life to pose for a quick shot and you get something.

We are in SoCal for the next few days and saw that they have these statues setup from Santa Monica to Laguna Beach. There are 12 in and around Anaheim. We got the first one at the Angels/Royals game on Saturday. On Monday we made our way to the other 11. That included being interviewed by a local news crew regarding the hunt. Good fun.

Ready to head to an early showing of TS3. The boys had a great time. So far we’ve seen it twice. We’ll see it a few more times in theaters for sure.

I LOVED this movie. No doubt one of the best of the year. It delivered and then some for the PIxar team. Totally a best picture candidate.

Funny how your name is used less and less once you are a parent of a school age kid. You quickly become “Gabriel’s Mom” or the formal “Mrs. G”.
