We attended Meilyn’s 4th Birthday party this past Saturday. We had Kathryn and Karyssa with us to join in on the fun. The Wongs threw a great bash as always. The theme, as you might guess, was Cowboys and they went all out providing hats, sheriff badges and fake mustaches to all the guests.
Great fun hanging out with Randy, Ron and Riley (The Three Rs?). We saw the A’s handle the Red Sox 9-0. It was tight early but a 3 run third inning more or less finished the BoSox who were without Papi and Manny and had a pitcher wearing #61 start the game.
Highlights included some great A’s defense from Bradley and HRs from Thomas, Melhuese and Swisher.
We stopped by the Apple Campus Store in Cupertino following breakfast at Holder’s. We made it a point to walk out to the 1 Infinite Loop sign and get a few shots of Gabriel hanging out.
We celebrated Gabriel’s 2nd Birthday this past Saturday. We had a ton of family and friends in attendance (rough count was 85 people). Good fun was had by all as we had balloons, games and , of course, two pinatas for all to enjoy! The theme for the party was Superheroes and nearly everyone participated be via logo t-shirt or even costumes!
We give special thanks for the blessing that we have recieved in our special boy. Not a day goes by that we don’t give thanks for our son. He has brought so much joy and laughter to our lives. We look forward to everyday as we continue to watch in pure amazement as he grows and learns seemingly every minute!
We’ve begun actively placing him on the mini-toilet this week. We’ve already had one instance where he went #1 which was pretty exciting around here.
So, Nina Pam was visiting tonight, why not show her how it’s done, right?
Omar: Gabriel, do you want to show Nina how you go pee-pee on the toilet?

We make our way upstairs to the bathroom and take off the pull up diaper. Gabriel sits down at the toilet. After a few seconds, he makes a realization…
Garbriel: It’s not working!
Another A’s game with Gabriel in attendance – just means the A’s win. This time it was a 3-1 with Chavy hitting a game-winning HR late in the game on Chavy Back Pack Day!

While driving with Gabriel to his Grandma Rios’ house on Wednesday morning we had the following discussion:
Omar: Gabriel – do you want to go see the A’s this weekend?
Gabriel: -nods approvingly-
Omar: Do you want to see the “Big Hurt”?
Gabriel: Yup.
Omar: Do you want to see Chavy?
Gabriel: Yup.
And, before I could add in Zito or Swisher, Gabriel quickly raised his blanket in the air and added…
Gabriel: And Blanky, too!
‘Nuff said.
This will be the front of the invitation which will be sent out later this week. Gabriel will be turning 2 years old in a few weeks. The party theme will be “Superheroes” and all attendees will be urged to wear their favorite superhero gear.

Making the move from pmachine to WordPress. Seems that WordPress will give the tools and hooks necessary to really incorporate other resources such as Flickr and maybe even podcasting via Hipcast.
