Ozzie is pure idiot. It’s one thing to believe your guy is the best - HE”S NOT - but it’s another to accuse Chavez of not deserving it. How does this end up as a lead story on MLBs page?

It took a few days longer than expected but the A’s are headed to the playoffs as Western Division Champs! This team started the year with high expectations after adding key free agents - Frank Thomas and Esteban Loaiza - and adding - Milton Bradley - instead of subtracting players. While the road has not been easy - is it ever for an Oakland team? - this team has preserved throughout. As usual, they made their patented post May run that firmly established them as the team to beat in the West. The key this year has been the ability of the players continually picking each other up. If Chavez was slumping, Swisher, Thomas or Bradley was there. Starting pitching struggling? Bullpen gets stronger. Injuries? Don’t stop, put someone else in there and keep moving forward. And for other teams in the AL playoffs - watch out - Harden is back.
We’re looking forward to the playoffs. GO OAKLAND!

OK - anytime the press invokes a reference to the Bad News Bears in regards to your team, it’s been a bad day.
We went today in anticipation of the A’s cliniching the Western Division Tiltle but it was not to be. Danny Haren was roughed up and the A’s offense was shut down by Ervin Santana (who’s becoming quite the stopper against Oakland).
Nonetheless, great to be there today. We had good fun sitting up in section 232 which is just behind the foul pole in left field. Gabriel was leading the “Let’s Go Oakland” chants for awhile as we had some willing assistants nearby.
Bought specifically for the A’s Playoff Run. He’s outgrown the XIVs White/Green so it was time for a new pair of “A’s shoes”. This time it was the second release from the Jordan V Retro series just released yesterday.
An interesting pair - not one I like for myself but definitely cool on Gabriel. You know they are sharp when both Mommy and Nina Pam agree that they are snazzy!
I really enjoy taking pictures of my nephews and niece. They are willing participants and I think they might even enjoy the bits of looniness I ask of them. In this case, Amanda takes on Bruce from Finding Nemo while Marlon looks on. As you can see, Amanda can hold her own with anyone and no shark is about to stop her!

Gotta love the Onion
You hate to think it but the last of the Big Three might be making his last run here in Oakland. If that’s how it’s gotta be, then make it a sweet run - bring the title home. The A’s have a team to FEAR especially with a lights out bullpen, an MVP run by the Big Hurt and starting pitching bolstered by the return of Rich Harden.
Here’s wishing Barry the best tonight as he takes the hill. There’s no else we’d rather have there!
