This event was held at the Bay Meadows Racetrack in San Mateo. They produced a few patches of artificial snow into the infield of the racetrack along with jumphouses and pony rides. Considering the nearest snowfall is up in Tahoe (4-5 hours away), this is as close as we’re getting to the snow this year.

We made our way to the Santa Clara train station (near Santa Clara University) to see the annual Holiday Train. The train comes out complete with Cisco Singers, Rudolph, dwarves, and Santa. The event is run for the purpose of donating to Toys for Tots. We were happy to do our small parts as one of our goals for Gabriel is for him to take part in these events both for the fun as well as being good citizens helping those less fortunate.
One of the neat things was hearing Gabriel proclaim Santa as his “best friend”. We think he got this from CARS in the scene where Mater tells McQueen that he’s his best friend. Made us all smile for sure.
