The hospital lighting is harsh so it was tricky getting a nice non-flash shot.

Three - soon to be four.
Our baby boy is due to arrive any minute/hour/day now. Due date is February 4 but it looks like it may be sooner than that. We are ready and anxious to see our son. His brother is excited and already has plans to teach him all kinds of things such as playing Mario Galaxy on the Wii.
Exciting times. One of the reasons I’m doing the 52 Weeks project is to document our son arriving into our lives.
Nothing like meeting a Hall of Famer. This year it was Rollie Fingers.
Had a bit ‘o fun mixing it up with some Flickr folks at lunch. We headed to Barefoot Coffee Roasters and talked shop. It was over quickly but a good time was had.
A picture from a few months back. We’re awaiting our baby boy’s arrival as we get things in order around the house. Gloria’s been on leave from work over a week and has taken on the task of sorting through all of the new items as well as Gabriel’s clothes. Almost there.
Air Jordan’s - got a few of them.
Majority of these fall into the “retro” category as it is custom for the Jordan Brand to re-release previous models in new colorways and occasionally in near duplicate OG releases. I think I’m up to about 25 pairs and this does not include any Team Jordans, Jeters or other non-Air Jordan releases.
The pair I’m wearing is a retro Jordan 1 - the shoe that started it all and was even banned for a time by the NBA. This pair was part of the “Old Love/New Love” package that was released last year. This is the first time I’ve worn these shoes as I prefer to keep ‘em in the box. The package also included the yellow/black Jordan 1 that you can also see in this shot. Personal favorites include the XIII, V and VIIs. Just for the record, most of them get worn. Very few fall into the “deadstock” collection.
The addiction carries on to our sons. Gabriel has a well documented collection of Js and our soon to arrive baby boy is off to a good start with 3 or 4 pairs to his name already.
My second image for this week. I like this one a lot but went with the diptych as the initial image. This one works for me on a technical level. I was reading a Scott Kelby book on photography earlier in the day and applied some of those things to this image. I shot it at f3.2 in an attempt to achieve a sharper image. I think I got that especially considering it was shot as darkness approached and with ISO 800.
Either way, as in the comic world, some issues have two covers. Such is the way for week 2.
